Macedonia / Bansko USE OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY AT BANSKO Fuel switching

The objective of the project is to complete the basic district heating network in the village Bansko, in the South-Eastern part of Macedonia, with the possibility of selling the heat to local consumers (spa facilities, hotels, greenhouses, residencies etc.).

Macedonia / Kushnica, Ostrilka and Zaba CDM PROJECT ACTIVITY FOR THE THREE SMALL HYDRO POWER PLANTS Power generation

The project activity comprises building of five SHPPs on the rivers: Kushnica, Ostrilka and Zaba. The main target of this CDM project activity is to produce renewable energy which will be delivered to the national grid, thus replace the same amount of electricity currently used in the national grid, mainly based on fossil fuel source. This replacement will lead to saving of CO2, and in the same time improve the energy supply in the region.

Macedonia / Batinci (Skopje) "DRISLA" LANDFILL SITE - BIOGAS RECOVERY AND BURNING Methane recovery

The main aim of the project activity is to implement an LFG recovery and flaring system at the dump site, in order to reduce CH4 emissions for the benefit of global climate and thus to generate CERs. GHG emission reduction will be result from the combustion of the recovered methane contained in the LFG.
