IMELS and University Ca' Foscari Venice signed the agreement on a promotion of the pilot project „Carbon Management of the University Ca' Foscari Venice “with an aim to account the current GHG emissions and identify the possible measures and activities to reduce them. The scope of work comprises the analysis of the baseline situation and overall assessment of the energy savings potential in all buildings within the University complex including faculties, dormitories, libraries and all other units as well as the GHG emission reduction potential in the part of the transport of students, employees and goods, waste management etc. Beside the direct contribution to reduce impacts on the climate, the project will raise awareness and motivate action among the whole university community. Students will come to know the good practice management in their educational environment and by that be encouraged to apply this knowledge in their private and professional life.
The project duration is foreseen to be 12 months.
